PARIS

Everywhere you look, it’s either 7 floors of limestone or a monument.

Paris has a long history, a long memory, and a lot of dark, fashionable clothing.

The best view of the Arc de Triumph is from the Eiffel Tower.

Crazy delicious macaroons at the Mouffetard market on a rainy day

Easy to see why it's the most-visited paid monument in the world, but it surprised me that it was built in the nineteenth century.

ROUEN

Rouen rocked the middle ages with incredible churches, cobblestones, and the demise of Joan of Arc.

The church financed the incredible facade of the Rouen Cathedral by selling indulgences for the consumption of butter.

These "tree balls" are actually Mistletoe.

HonFLEUR

The changing light in this small harbor inspired Claud Monet and countless other impressionist painters. Aspiring artists still set their easels and try to capture its beauty.

Mont St Michel

This medieval town with it’s 12th century abbey has a permanent population of less than 100. A mile offshore, connected by a small bridge, we were exploring an entirely different world.

The Loire Valley

If you like incredible wine and châteaus, the Loire Valley is for you. Wine is aged in miles and miles of limestone tunnels, many of which were quarried more than a millennium ago. The châteaus, dating back to the middle ages, are dense with history.

The French are sadists, and take great pleasure in torturing their trees.
